Meet Melanie
I'm Melanie, the founder of Milkwood Consulting Co., with more than 10 years of experience in grants and funding.
Before starting Milkwood, I worked within the Northern Territory Government, where I gained firsthand experience in grant assessments, funding recommendations, agreements and compliance. Today, I use that knowledge to help sporting clubs, Aboriginal organisations, community groups and businesses secure funding and bring their projects to life.
In the first 18 months of running Milkwood, I've helped secure over $4.5 million in grant funding for my clients.
As a mum of three and someone who has served on several community committees, I understand how important it is to balance family, work and community commitments. Starting Milkwood has allowed me to be more involved in my children's lives while continuing to do work I genuinely enjoy.
My approach is simple: practical advice, honest guidance and personalised support to make the funding process easier.
